President's Day Sunday 27th July

Scott Harries, Rob Renke (President) and Chris Chamberlain

Despite having the lowest handicap, never winning the toss and being drawn on the bottom green, Scott Harries came through a field of twenty nine members to win the President's Day competition. In a quality final he beat Chris Chamberlain 21-16 on a green that was still exceptionally quick. Losing semi-finalists were John Palmer and Tony Steadman. Rob Renke, having earlier thanked the ladies who had prepared a magnificent tea and everyone who had attended, presented a bottle of bubbly to Scott. A raffle in aid of the mower fund raised over £80.

Challenge Cup Sunday 17th August

Tom McGill and Ollie Speke

Despite a disappointing entry of only nine members, the challenge cup produced some excellent bowling on a difficult paced green. The final was a close affair and was settled by some accurate firing by Ollie Speke to beat Tom McGill 21-17.
